GRAMMAR remix to “Revolution”

Matt Becks and IV Legend, the LA duo known as GRAMMAR, produced a banging electro remix to Open Source Rebellion’s “Revolution”. I caught up with the guys last night to shoot them do some live recording at Bedrock Studios in Echo Park.

GRAMMAR’s remix will be released with a music video along with the original track and video this Sunday.

“Revolution” pickups wrapped

After several setbacks on location, the Revolution pickups are complete and the video is into it’s fourth cut. We arrived to our un-permitted residential location at 10pm Tuesday to find our streetlight out, the sprinklers on, and our picture car broken down half way through the shoot. We scrambled to our nearby backup location, and got a wink from the universe when we heard the roar of DeLa’s engine to finish our shoot.

Open Source Rebellion “Revolution” music video wrapped

For several months now, I’ve been following the Occupy Movement closely, and DeLa from Open Source Rebellion asked me to direct a music video for his new single “Revolution” with these current events in mind.

So, I got in touch with the media production manager for Occupy LA and shot exclusive footage of the Occupy the Bridge arrests and march to Bank of America rally. Then I called up the politically pervasive Echo Park street art legend Phylo to do some custom artwork at MonkSpace in Koreatown for our shoot.
