Chris Palo has just finished production on his directorial debut with "Odd City", a quirky romantic comedy about a young cyclist's struggle to balance his professional life and his love life in a city of odd coincidences and odd people.

As location manager, I am grateful that the shoot went smoothly (thanks to the help of Joan Gerstle at the GPFO). Unfortunately, I was out of town during the shoot, but judging from the production stills, it looks like it was a good time, and I think everyone's hard work will pay off when we get the dailies back.

It's been a while since I've updated this site, but Lonnie McCreery's "Off The Meter" series is a Dan Eason Production in development since July.

Lonnie McCreery’s split life as a Los Angeles cab driver collides on camera with his blossoming underground hip hop career. Lonnie stays loyal to the streets and hip hop legends as they collaborate in his cab equipped with ProTools and a custom sound system. This mobile mixing gadgetry also provides a unique experience for other late night passengers to sing or freestyle after a night on the town.

Last night we had a successful test shoot for Chris Castro's table book of a loma photography series depicting the underground culture of LA dive bars and nightlife. The motive is simple… visit every LA dive bar and drink until close or someone needs to be escorted out. Meet all the regulars, hear all the tales, and enjoy all the specials. Rather than providing a review of the bar itself, Chris focuses on the culture of the people who frequent the bar. This is photojournalism at its best… non-apologetic nonstop nonsense.

Hank DeMaio directs the music video for Salvador Santana's track "Don't Do It" from his new album Keyboard City. The video mimics the old school Japanese Kaiju utilizing a combination of train set sized miniatures for the city and landscapes and green screen for Salvador, the Monster, and the people in the city. It is an epic, yet slightly silly battle of good and evil.
